The GUI showed in this page, and also its information, belongs to Mantychore II project. It will be updated soon with the new OpenNaaS GUI version.

Manage the routers in an IP network

Routers can be added to the IP network when this is being created or after. Moreover, may be we want to add some more router or remove an existing one. So, we have the possibility to manage the routers assigned to an IP network by means the actions menu (right click) of both IPNetwork View and IPNetwork Editor.

You must choose the "Manage Routers" option

If you click on this option, the Manage Routers wizard will appear.

Using the add and remove buttons you can assign and unassign routers in the IP network. To apply the changes it is necessary to click on the Finish button.

You always can remove directly a router from an IP network using the "Remove Router" option. This option is located in both IPNetwork View and IPNetwork Editor, but it is only available when the user right clicking on a router element.

Action Queue

Each IP network instance has implemented an action queue what contains most of actions configured from both IPNetwork View and IPNetwork Editor. The actions stored in that queue are the ones which imply a router configuration (basically configure routing protocols and interfaces). The advantage of the action queue is apply several actions in one router configuration, so the time spend in commiting the configurations in routers is less.

The Action Queue is managed from the ActionQueue View located at the bottom of the Mantychore GUI. There is one queue for each IP network, so the queue showed by the ActionQueue View belongs to the IP network instance selected in the IPNetwork View. If you want to display another queue, you only select the IP network instance which has the queue desired.

Actions are put in the queue in order of entrance. But users can change this order using the blue arrows buttons at the left of the ActionQueue View, and save the changes using the Save button. The order is important because the first action in the queue is the first action in being executed on the router.

  •     Execute: To execute the whole queue you need clicking on the Execute button, the first one in the upper menu of the ActionQueue View
  •     Delete: Deletes the whole Action Queue from the server.
  •     Refresh: Gets the current Action Queue from the server.

Actions can be eliminated selecting one or more actions and right clicking on them, next it will appear only one option: Delete Actions.

Configure SubInterfaces

It is possible to configure the IP parameters of one subinterface. The user must right clicking on the IPNetwork View, and select the "Configure Interface" option.

The configure interface wizard allows to configure the IP parameters like IP address and mask for IPv4, and IP address and prefix for IPv6.

Change the state of physical interfaces

There are two options in the IPNetwork View menu to turn up and down the physical interface:

When an interface is down is displayed together a little red cross.
