Releases Notes - Mantychore - Version 0.1
The Mantychore developer team is proud to announce the Mantychore 0.1 Release. This is an early beta release, the functionality is minimal (see below) but will be useful to test the deployment experience and the feedback cycle.
Mantychore will follow the Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) paradigm to enable National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and other e-Infrastructure providers to enhance their service portfolio by building and deploying software and tools to provide infrastructure resources like routers, switches, optical devices, and IP networks as a service to virtual research communities.
The key features of Mantychore 0.1 include
- Management Initial support for management of resources. It supports operations to: createCreate, start, stop and remove operations are supported.
- Support to list and set interfaces.
- Support of command line interface for CLI (Karaf gogo based shell).
- Support to profile actionsetsfor resource profiles
- Support to for JunOS (10>10.10 or +) systems with Netconf protocol availabledenabled.
- Persistent support (Hibernate and JPA)Persistence support.
- Remote access to debug and fix errors.

Spread the word
The Mantychore team encourages everybody to spread the word on the Social Web as well. Submit stories to websites, use channels like delicious, digg, reddit, twitter, identi.ca. Upload screenshots to services like Facebook, FlickR, ipernity and Picasa and post them to appropriate groups. Create screencast, upload them to YouTube, Blip.tv, Vimeo and others. Do not forget to tag uploaded material with the tag mantychore so it is easier for everybody to find the material, and for the Mantychore team to compile reports of coverage for the Mantychore 0.2 announcement. Help us spreading the word, be part of it.
